The O’Brate Foundation desires for students with limited financial means to have the ability to take college courses while in high school. Our Dual-Credit Awards vary based on each student’s enrollment status and financial situation.
> Financial Need
> 2.5 GPA or higher
> Pursuing a Kansas High School Diploma or equivalent
> Work Experience and Commitment to Work While in School
> Drive and Determination to Succeed
Students who apply earliest in the semester are extended Priority Consideration. Applications submitted after DECEMBER 1st in the FALL semester and after MAY 1st in the SPRING semester, will not be considered.
Interested applicants should e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to initiate access to the Dual-Credit Scholarship Application. The request should include the student’s First & Last Name, High School, and Personal E-mail Address (HIGH SCHOOL/USD e-mails are STRONGLY Discouraged). Applicants will receive a response within 24 to 72 hours with login directions, a temporary password and the Dual-Credit Scholarship Application ACCESS CODE.
Selection of Recipients
Qualified applicants will be contacted by O’Brate Foundation Staff to complete an in-person or video conference interview within one to two weeks of application submission. Notification of the award decision may take two to three weeks after the interview.
